Who we are

Pair Hunt

Pair Hunt is a location-based memory game. If you have questions about this policy or want to request access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact us at support@pair-hunt.com.

Short version

No ads. No tracking.

We use data to make the game work: location for nearby hunts, account identifiers for sign-in and progress sync, gameplay data for XP, collections and rankings, and limited usage data to understand app performance and improve the experience.

Data we process

What Pair Hunt uses

Location data

Pair Hunt uses your device location while you are playing to show your position on the map, generate nearby hunts where available, check whether you are inside a hunt zone, and unlock cards when you get close enough. Hunt generation may use approximate coordinates and generated hunt locations so the app can find suitable public play areas and avoid unsafe areas where possible.

Account and identifiers

You can start as a guest. If you sign in, Pair Hunt may store an account identifier from the sign-in provider, such as Sign in with Apple, together with your player profile. This helps keep your name, avatar, XP, collection, badges, and progress connected to your account and available across sessions or devices.

Gameplay and progress

We store gameplay data such as started and completed hunts, scores, duration, moves, matches, XP, levels, badges, token collection progress, selected avatar, ranking entries, and active hunt state. This is used to run the game, resume play, show results, sync progress, and display rankings.

Usage and diagnostics

Pair Hunt may process limited technical and usage information such as app version, game mode, hunt generation status, completion status, safety lookup results, and basic performance or error information. We use this to improve stability, monitor whether hunts are available, and understand how the game is being used.

Purpose

Why we use data

  • To provide location-based hunts and in-game map functionality.
  • To unlock nearby cards, score hunts, and save active game state.
  • To sync profiles, avatars, XP, badges, collections, and progress.
  • To show rankings and improve the game experience.
  • To detect issues with hunt availability, safety checks, and app performance.
  • To respond to support and safety reports.
Sharing

Service providers

Pair Hunt uses service providers to operate the app and store game data, including backend hosting and authentication services. These providers process data on our behalf so the app can function. Pair Hunt does not sell your personal data and does not use your data for third-party advertising tracking.

Control

Your choices

  • You can choose whether to grant location permission in your device settings.
  • You can play as a guest, though some progress sync features may require sign-in.
  • You can delete your signed-in account directly from the Profile screen in the app. Full steps are available at Account deletion.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
  • You should never enter private property, roads, water, restricted areas, or unsafe places while playing.
Retention

How long we keep data

We keep account and gameplay data for as long as needed to provide the game, rankings, progress sync, support, and safety monitoring. We may keep aggregated or anonymized analytics to understand game usage and improve hunt availability. You can delete a signed-in account directly in the app or request deletion help by emailing support@pair-hunt.com.
